Quality Inspection & Production Assurance

At Panda Sofa, every recliner and sofa we make goes through a rigorous multi-stage quality control process — from raw materials to final packing.

Step 01

Sofa Cover Testing

  • Testing Machine: checks whether bulk fabric matches the approved sample, detects any defects and verifies the actual yardage.
  • Caliper: measures accurately the fabric thickness and ensure it meets the specified requirement.
  • Electronic Scale: measure the fabric and non-woven weight in GSM and verify it meets the specified requirement.

Step 02

Sofa Cover Cutting

We use precision fabric cutting equipment to ensure accurate, consistent cutting for every pattern piece and minimize material waste.

Step 03

Sewing Cover Testing

Our QC team uses a caliper to precisely measure the stitch spacing and seam alignment, ensuring neat and consistent sewing quality. Surface threads and finishing are also carefully inspected to maintain a clean appearance.

Step 04

Wood Frame

  • We inspect all wood panels to ensure the thickness meets our specifications and the wood grade and dimensions comply with our purchasing requirements.
  • Moisture Meter is used to test the moisture content of the wood and keep it within the specified standard range (8%-12%).
  • Structure Durability: We strictly test the structural strength of the wooden frame to ensure long-term durability and safety.
  • Parts Fit: Each fitting is tested on the wooden frame to verify that the dimensions and hole alignment meet our assembly standards.

Step 05

Mechanism

  • To guarantee long-term durability, we perform horizontal load and tensile strength tests on every mechanism.
  • The metal frames also undergo salt spray testing to evaluate corrosion resistance.
  • Hardness checks ensure the steel meets our strength requirements.

Step 06

Stapling Department

  • The overall appearance must be clean and neat, with no raised or exposed staples.
  • The cotton wrapping is properly loosened for comfort.
  • The pocket springs pass pressure testing for long-lasting performance.

Step 07

Stuffing Department / Cushion Filling Department

  • Loose polyester Scale: We weigh the opened polyester to ensure the filling weight meets the required standard.
  • Fill back and cushion based on the process flow chart.

Step 08

Assembly Department

  • Make sure every component is properly installed.
  • All sofa functions operate smoothly as designed.

Step 09

Finished Products

  • Each finished sofa is thoroughly cleaned.
  • Each finished sofa is tested for full features.
  • The wings and backrests are checked to ensure all components are properly installed.
  • The surface must appear smooth and tidy, with no wrinkles or visible gaps.
  • Firmness and stability test is conducted to confirm the sofa’s overall strength and durability.

Step 10

Packing Department

  • we carefully check that all accessories are complete.
  • The carton weight is within the specified standard.
  • The shipping mark information is accurate based on customer’s requirement.
  • Protective sleeves are added at insert joints, EPE and plastic bags cover the wings and additional EPE pads are placed on major friction areas.
  • This ensures that every sofa is well protected and remains in perfect condition during transportation.
